32 cases approved under JKSES in Reasi (06 Aug 2014)
The Task Force Committee under J&K Self Employment Scheme (JKSES) today approved 32 cases amounting to Rs 87.43 lac for interest free loan and subsidy for various enterprises to be established in the district.
A total of 33 candidates, including joint venture initiatives, appeared before the committee for interview for loan under JKSES to establish provision stores, purchase of vehicles, departmental stores, X-Ray and diagnostics, chemist shops, tourism related activities, purchase of commercial vehicles, DTP printing and photostat units. Out of this, 32 cases were approved and rest forwarded to Employment Department. Applicants from remote areas of Arnas, Mahore, Dharmari, Thakrakote, Pouni and Bidda appeared before the committee.
Under JKSES 15% margin money is given and 5% capital subsidy. Amount of loan is Rs 2 lakh for retail, Rs 3 lakh for service and Rs 10 lakh for joint venture. The scheme has encouraged rural youth for self employment through this initiative.
The committee was headed by District Development Commissioner, Reasi, Shabir Ahmad Bhatt and included CPO G.L.Sharma, ACD Joginder Singh Rai, DSWO Rafiq Jarral, AD Employment Sulakshana Thakur, Lead District Manager Sanjeev Bhardwaj,, Cluster Head J&K Bank, Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, General Manager DIC.
The DDC directed the representatives of various banks to ensure that the candidates should be provided loan assistance at the earliest, so as to facilitate the establishment of their units, which would not only provide self employment to these candidates, but also generate employment for others. He also stressed that wide publicity be given by all departments like DIC, Agriculture, Horticulture etc to disseminate information related to self employment so as to extend benefits to all unemployed youth and conduct the meetings for clearing these cases on regular basis.
